GYOSUN Privacy Policy

This policy explains how information is handled in the iOS app GYOSUN (魚寸).

Last updated: August 3, 2026

1. Provider and our approach

In this policy, the provider is the person or entity identified as the app provider on the App Store product page. GYOSUN is a local-first app offered by the provider under the WATARI CROSS brand. It processes and stores catch data on your device. The provider does not operate a server that collects or stores your catch data.

2. Camera and permission

The camera is used for AR measurement and catch photos. Photos are processed on your device and are not sent to a provider server. AR capture is unavailable if camera access is not granted. You can revoke access later in iOS Settings.

3. Location and permission

Only with your permission, location is used to record where a catch was photographed. It is stored with the catch on your device and is not sent to a provider server. You can save catches without granting location access. You can revoke access later in iOS Settings; new catches saved after revocation will not include location.

4. On-device data and retention

Photos, species, measurement size, date, location, notes, preferences such as language and unit, free-capture count, and purchase status are stored on your device. Catch data is retained until you delete it in the app or delete the app. Deleting the app removes data in its private storage. To deter improper resets and verify purchase status, the free-capture count and the last verified purchase status are also stored in the iOS Keychain and may remain on the device after the app is deleted. Apple manages the App Store purchase record.

5. Saving to Photos and permission

If Save to Photos is enabled, captured photos are added to Apple's Photos library. You can change this option in the app and revoke add-only access in iOS Settings. A Photos-library error does not prevent the catch from being saved in the app. Photos already added are retained separately from catches and must be deleted in the Photos app. If iCloud Photos is enabled, Apple may sync those photos through its service.

6. iCloud Backup

Depending on your device's iCloud Backup settings, catch data in the app's private storage may be included in an Apple iCloud backup. Backup creation, retention, restoration, and deletion are governed by Apple and your iOS settings.

7. Apple Maps

When you display a map for a catch that includes location, information such as the visible map region may be sent to Apple to retrieve the surrounding map. The provider does not receive Apple Maps usage data. Apple's privacy policy governs Apple's processing.

8. Purchases and the App Store

Complete purchases and restoration are processed by Apple's App Store. The provider does not receive your credit-card details. Apple's privacy policy and App Store terms govern purchase history and other information processed by Apple.

9. Third-party services and analytics

The app uses no advertising SDK or independent analytics SDK, and the provider does not provide data to third parties to track users. When you use the Apple services described above, Apple independently processes information needed to provide those services.

10. Information you send when contacting us

If you contact us by email, we use your email address, name or other information in the message, and attachments to reply, provide support, investigate problems, and address abuse. This information is processed through email service providers and retained only as long as needed for support and legal compliance, then deleted when no longer needed. Do not attach unnecessary catch photos or location information.

11. Deletion and contact

You can delete catches and their in-app photos in the app. Deleting the app removes data from its private storage. Keychain data, Apple backups, Photos-library copies, and App Store records are managed separately as described above. The provider cannot remotely access or delete on-device data for you. For questions about this policy or data handling, contact: info@wataricross.com

12. Revisions

If this policy changes, we will announce the change in the app or on the official support page and revise the date above.
